Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety, engagement, and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate child development instruction and classroom management techniques to support early childhood education
- Administer first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster trust and transparency
- Transport children safely to and from school, appointments, extracurricular activities, and other destinations using well-maintained vehicles
- Maintain a clean, organized environment in compliance with daycare center standards and health regulations
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by applying specialized teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
Skills
- Proven experience working with children across various settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid; familiarity with mandated reporting laws for child abuse or neglect
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly valued
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in safe vehicle operation and child transportation safety protocols
