Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations for tee times, events, and group bookings using POS systems and booking software.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including outdoor areas for tournaments or special occasions.
- Provide guidance on course rules, safety protocols, and equipment use to ensure a secure environment for all visitors.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments for green fees, rentals, food, and beverages.
- Assist with retail sales of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories at the pro shop or designated retail areas.
- Ensure safety standards are met by conducting routine inspections, managing crowd control during busy periods, and responding promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when needed.
- Support outdoor maintenance activities such as heavy lifting of equipment or supplies and manual handling tasks to keep the course pristine.
- Engage guests in friendly conversation, promote upcoming events or promotions, and address any conflicts or concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate event logistics, manage guest flow during tournaments or special events, and uphold safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor work environments or event venue management is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; basic math skills are essential.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification is preferred; training can be provided if necessary.
- Experience working with children or in hospitality settings enhances your ability to connect with diverse guests.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and outdoor activity throughout the day.
- Skills in conflict management and public speaking help maintain a welcoming atmosphere during busy periods.
- Familiarity with retail sales processes or food service experience is a plus; theater experience can contribute to guest engagement skills.
