Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive repairs and restorations on classic cars, ensuring authenticity and quality standards are met.
- Execute LS engine swaps with precision, including disassembly, installation, wiring, and tuning of modern powertrains into vintage chassis.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical systems, engine performance issues, and vehicle systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams to accurately identify issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignment, suspension work, brake servicing, and drivetrain repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely to complete mechanical repairs efficiently.
- Collaborate with customers to provide expert advice on vehicle modifications, maintenance plans, and repair timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience specializing in classic cars and modern engine swaps.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engine systems, powertrain components, and automotive electrical systems.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics, including the use of advanced diagnostic tools for engine troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams accurately for complex electrical work.
- Experience with diesel engines and GM vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and alignment equipment.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting; comfortable working in various positions for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a passion for automotive repair and vehicle customization.
