Job Overview
As a Concrete Finisher or Concrete Laborer you will provide manual labor and concrete finishing for various flatwork in new residential construction to include footings, slabs, walks, and driveways. High-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards are expected. These positions offer opportunities for both new laborers as well as experienced finishers.
Duties
- Aid in the setup of formwork for concrete pours, ensuring proper alignment and stability for optimal results.
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to achieve smooth, level surfaces aligned with project specs.
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as trowels, screeds, mixers, and grinders to prepare and finish concrete surfaces.
- Support rebar installation and placement to reinforce concrete structures according to project specs.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for moving materials, setting forms, or installing hardscape elements like stone.
- Maintain safety protocols on-site and report hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, form setting.
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with construction blueprints or schematics is a plus, but not required.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
