About Little Chauffeurs
Little Chauffeurs is an elite, privately owned concierge student transportation service. We provide safe, premium, and reliable transit for students attending top-tier academic programs, tutoring centers, and extracurricular activities. Every family that trusts us is trusting us with what matters most to them — which means our drivers are held to a standard well above the industry norm. This is not a rideshare gig. It is a professional child-safety role that happens to involve driving.
Vehicle: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, configured for 15 passengers or fewer (driver included), operated in full compliance with Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles requirements.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, split shift: 6:30 AM–9:30 AM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM. Consistent, predictable hours — no weekends, no late nights, no route changes.
Why This Role Demands the Highest Standard
Every child on this route is someone's universe. Parents are trusting us with the single highest-stakes part of their day, twice a day. There is no acceptable margin for distraction, lateness, or shortcuts. We are looking for a driver who treats that responsibility as a calling, not a chore.
What You'll Do
- **Safely operate** an assigned Sprinter van along fixed, pre-approved routes, ensuring every student is picked up and dropped off at the correct location, on time, every single day.
- **Conduct and document** a pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection before every route (tires, brakes, mirrors, lights, seatbelts/restraint systems, emergency exits, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher).
- **Perform a physical child-check** of the vehicle interior after every drop-off, with zero exceptions — no child is ever left unattended in the vehicle or dropped off without a parent/guardian physically present.
- **Maintain constant, professional communication** with dispatch and parents through our designated communication platform, including real-time notification of any delay, route deviation, or incident.
- **Enforce seatbelt/restraint use** for every student, every ride, without exception.
- **Maintain a zero-tolerance standard** for phone use, eating, or any other distraction while driving the vehicle when in motion with students aboard.
- **Keep the vehicle in showroom condition** — clean, fueled, and mechanically sound — before every shift.
- **Know and rehearse emergency procedures**, including medical emergencies, evacuation, and severe weather protocol.
- **Model calm, respectful, age-appropriate conduct** at all times; provide a warm but disciplined environment during transit. Ensure code of conduct is being adhered to by students during transit.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications
- **Age & Licensing:** Minimum 21 years old with a valid Florida driver's license in good standing (class E license).
- **Driving Record:** Minimum 5 years of licensed driving experience with a flawless MVR — no moving violations, at-fault accidents, or license suspensions within the past 5 years; no DUI/DWI history, ever.
- **Background Screening:** Must pass a Level II (fingerprint-based) background screening and a comprehensive federal/state criminal history check, repeated periodically per company policy. Any offense involving violence, dishonesty, or minors is automatically disqualifying.
- **Drug & Alcohol Testing:** Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and consent to random testing throughout employment.
- **Medical Fitness:** Must pass a DOT-style medical examination confirming fitness to safely operate a passenger vehicle, including vision and hearing standards.
- **Safety Certifications:** Current CPR and First Aid certification required (or obtained upon hire at company expense). Completion of a recognized defensive driving course (e.g., National Safety Council) required within 2 weeks of hire.
- **Mandatory Reporter Training:** Willingness to complete company-provided training on recognizing and reporting signs of abuse or neglect, consistent with Florida's mandatory reporting standards for adults who work with children.
- **Experience with Youth:** Demonstrated, verifiable experience working with children or families — former educators, coaches, camp counselors, childcare providers, or high-end hospitality/chauffeur professionals strongly preferred. References will be checked.
- **Insurance Compliance:** Must be insurable under the company's commercial auto policy; will be added as a covered driver and must maintain eligibility throughout employment.
- **Technology Compliance:** Must operate with in-vehicle GPS tracking and dash camera active at all times during routes — no exceptions, no disabling devices.
Character Traits We're Screening For:
Unshakeable punctuality. Calm under pressure. Meticulous attention to detail. A genuinely warm but firmly boundaried presence with children. Comfort with structure, documentation, and being held accountable to a high bar.

- **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–9:30 AM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM (fixed, not variable)

What Disqualifies an Applicant Immediately
