Duties
- Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including tube feeding and other specialized treatments
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in residents’ health, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, utilizing specialized techniques to enhance safety and comfort
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as catheter care, wound dressing, and assisting with medical procedures under supervision
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being while fostering a positive environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable
- Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and adherence to HIPAA standards for maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and engage with residents compassionately

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
