Haraz Coffee House Pflugerville is hiring Café Team Members.
This is not a register-only position. Team members will be trained to support both the front of house and bakery/prep side of the store. This role includes customer service, taking orders, preparing drinks, helping with baking and prep, restocking, cleaning, washing dishes, and completing shift responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and confident with customers, able to communicate clearly in English for customer service, reliable, on time, and willing to learn baking while following recipes exactly. The ideal candidate is comfortable cleaning, washing dishes, staying busy during slow periods, and working evenings and weekends. We are also looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced café environment, stay organized and detail-oriented, receive feedback well, be trained, and work well with the team.
Responsibilities
Team members will be trained to help with:
- Greeting customers and providing strong customer service
- Taking orders clearly and accurately
- Repeating orders back before checkout
- Answering basic menu questions and recommending items
- Preparing drinks according to Haraz standards
- Helping with bakery/prep tasks, including milk cakes, cheesecakes, and dessert prep
- Following recipes, measurements, and store procedures exactly
- Restocking pastries, drinks, supplies, and customer stations
- Keeping the bar, kitchen, lobby, bathrooms, and display areas clean
- Washing dishes and resetting workstations throughout the shift
- Taking trash, sweeping, mopping, and completing cleaning tasks
- Completing opening, mid-shift, handoff, and/or closing tasks
- Communicating shortages, issues, and unfinished tasks to management
- Staying productive during slow periods without needing constant reminders
Requirements
- Clear customer-facing English communication
- Strong customer service attitude
- Reliable attendance and good communication
- Willingness to learn baking and prep
- Ability to follow written instructions and recipes exactly
- Comfortable cleaning, washing dishes, taking trash, and maintaining the lobby/bathrooms
- Able to stand and move for a full shift
- Able to work in a fast-paced café environment
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
- Food Handler Certificate required by store deadline
- Must be legally eligible to work
Preferred Experience
Previous experience is preferred, but not required, in any of the following:
- Coffee shop or café
- Restaurant or fast food
- Bakery or dessert shop
- Customer service
- Cashier/register
- Food prep
- Drink preparation
- Baking or decorating
We are willing to train the right person if they are reliable, coachable, and willing to work hard.

Schedule
Part-time & Full-Time positions available.
Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Exact schedule will depend on store needs and candidate availability. Applicants with open availability, closing availability, and weekend availability will receive priority.
Pay
Pay will be discussed during the interview. Ranges in $15-$17 per hour.

Haraz Coffee House is a specialty coffee shop serving specialty drinks, pastries, milk cakes, cheesecakes, and desserts sources from Yemeni. Our team is expected to provide strong customer service, move with urgency, keep the store clean, and take ownership of every shift.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
