Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hotel Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This dynamic role requires a proactive professional who can handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, from electrical and plumbing repairs to HVAC system servicing and building interior maintenance. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and staff alike. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including wiring, switches, circuit breakers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Maintain facilities equipment including hand tools, schematics, ohmmeters, and other maintenance instruments for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
- Oversee plumbing system maintenance such as leak repairs, pipe replacements, and drain cleaning to prevent disruptions.
- Lead maintenance projects involving building interior upgrades or renovations with attention to quality and safety protocols.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations while delivering excellent customer service to guests and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of hands-on experience in hotel or commercial facilities maintenance with a strong background in electrical work, HVAC repair, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to building systems; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices effectively.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC system repair including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, filters, and ductwork.
- Experience with maintenance planning for facilities equipment including MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) supplies management.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to clearly document work orders and maintenance reports.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise junior technicians or coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in plumbing system maintenance & repair as well as residential painting techniques.
