Customer Service Rep

Pay rate: $22/hr W2 (no benefits)
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and upselling techniques to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive team environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and stock levels.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers in a friendly manner and maintaining cleanliness in the store.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash accurately.
- Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is advantageous.

- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership qualities within a retail environment.
