RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of Clients Safety activities and goals with the use of KPIs
Develop, review and recommend policies and procedures ensuring that all health and safety measures and opportunities are addressed to the client.
Monitor and ensure that all governmental legislation and compliance is being adhered to at all times by the client
Conduct various workplace and job-site inspections, ensuring safety standards are met and being enforced consistently. Develop report for the inspection and turn into client in a reasonable time line.
Maintain strong knowledge of upcoming legislative changes and health & safety trends/statistics in order to pro-actively begin implementing and developing new policies and/or procedures.
Conduct thorough job site safety compliance inspections, including hazard identification & analysis, safe work procedures, prevention programs, driver safety, client training, etc.
Review and analyze accident and injury data, identifying the needs for new or modified occupational health & safety programs.
Lead all workplace injury investigation and near miss reporting and guide/teach the client how to navigate the RMP portal.
Be able and willing to train various subjects relating to EHS.
Communicate EHS changes, issues/concerns and lessons learned to all client contacts.
Ensure ongoing monitoring of all EHS programs, policies and procedures, while maintaining accountability and recognition where applicable for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field or minimum three (3) years of direct experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing, industrial, construction or similar work environment.
Operational quality assurance/compliance knowledge, with experience in internal process auditing.
Exceptional EHS leadership experience.
Excellent writing abilities and experience in documenting policies and SOP’s.
Solid knowledge and understanding of OSHA
Valid Driver’s License and valid automobile insurance. MVR will be checked
Ability to work extended hours or weekends, as necessary and/or in situations of urgency.
Valid Certification in First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Available to travel to work sites when required, and occasionally perform work evenings and weekends as required. This position has about 70% travel demand at this time, can be less or more depending on client demands.

Must be computer literate and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required) as well as internet for work-related matters
Pay: $55,000.00 per year
