Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance as a host/hostess when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when necessary
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction in a fine dining or casual setting
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order entry and payment processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking seamlessly between serving, bussing, and guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate check processing
- Experience with upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus for better understanding of food preparation and presentation standards
