Responsibilities
- Prepare and blend ingredients according to established recipes and production guidelines
- Operate and maintain ice cream manufacturing equipment, including pasteurizers, mix tanks, and freezers
- Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols to ensure food safety at every stage of production
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Package finished products efficiently while ensuring quality control measures are met
- Assist with inventory management, including raw materials and packaging supplies
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and safely
- Support sanitation procedures by cleaning machinery and workspaces regularly, adhering to strict hygiene standards
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed for ingredient or product movement within the facility
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing, or a related food industry role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of HACCP, CGMP, and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures and food safety practices
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar machinery safely (certification preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance during production processes
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and perform repetitive tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
