Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling specials to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, wine, spirits, and other drinks with professionalism and flair, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly while demonstrating hospitality expertise
- Uphold food safety standards and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations throughout all service stages
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is essential for efficient order processing
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food industry standards enhances guest interactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales while providing genuine recommendations
- Background in hospitality or guest services roles that emphasize customer satisfaction and relationship building
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, cash handling, and sales transaction processing
