Established in 2020, Veronica Rose Music studio is a holistic music lesson studio based in the Richmond, Virginia metro area, offering both in-person and online voice lessons to students located across the United States. At Veronica Rose Music, we understand that students are more than just singers; with a compassionate, holistic approach to teaching, we not only provide evidence-based instruction, but assist students in moving through mental roadblocks with patience and curiosity.

Job Summary:
The Associate Vocal Coach is a role designed for those who are passionate, knowledgeable, and versatile enough to teach a variety of musical styles and the fundamentals of healthy vocal technique. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dedicated to their own vocal technique, and capable of working with diverse personalities and age groups. Flexibility, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are key attributes for success in this position.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual vocal lessons in person in the Richmond, VA area or online focusing on technique, breath control, pitch, tone, and expression.
- Provide warm-up exercises, vocal drills, and tailored vocal exercises.
- Offer constructive feedback, guidance, and support to enhance students' vocal skills and performance abilities.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and growth.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching one-on-one voice lessons is preferred. If you have experience teaching a variety of age groups, even better! Our studio attracts a range of students, from 8-80 years old.
- Background in music/singing, with completion of a music certificate, degree, training program, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of vocal tract physiology and function---previous coursework in vocal pedagogy is strongly preferred, as our studio receives a lot of singers who are interested in the HOW & WHY behind vocal technique.
- Ability to assess vocal issues and offer healthy solutions.
- Knowledge in vocal stylisms.
- Basic piano skills for scales and exercises.
- Confidence in singing and performing in front of others.
- Understanding of basic music theory.
