Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Adjust watering schedules and system settings to optimize turf health while conserving water resources.
- Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, fertilizing, and turf management to ensure the course remains in top condition.
- Operate construction equipment safely during system installations or upgrades, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with groundskeeping staff to coordinate irrigation needs with overall landscape maintenance plans.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, system modifications, and maintenance activities for ongoing system performance tracking.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation systems and landscaping equipment.
- Familiarity with irrigation components such as valves, controllers, pipes, sprinklers, and pumps.
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of landscaping principles and turf management practices to support healthy golf course environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
