Carte Noire Atelier is growing, and we're looking for talented braiders and protective style specialists who take pride in their craft and want to build something bigger than a chair.
We're creating a salon experience that feels elevated for both our clients and our team.
As Philadelphia's 24-hour braid salon, we're able to accommodate clients with nontraditional schedules while giving our stylists greater flexibility to build the schedule that works best for them.
Whether you're an experienced braider with an established clientele or someone looking to continue growing behind the chair, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality protective styles including:
- Knotless Braids
- Box Braids
- Stitch Braids
- Cornrows
- Boho Styles
- French Curl Braids
- Twists
- Passion Twists
- Marley Twists
- Faux Locs
- Loc Maintenance (preferred but not required)
- Provide exceptional client experiences from consultation through checkout.
- Maintain a clean and professional workstation.
- Educate clients on healthy hair care and maintenance.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for professionals who:
- Have strong braiding skills and attention to detail.
- Value professionalism and reliability.
- Enjoy creating luxury client experiences.
- Are passionate about healthy hair.
- Are coachable and open to continued growth.
- Have a portfolio of recent work (Instagram, TikTok, or photo portfolio).
Licensed cosmetologists and experienced braiders are encouraged to apply. A cosmetology license is not required if permitted under applicable Pennsylvania regulations and your scope of work.
You'll have the opportunity to grow your income through:
