Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service during their cafeteria visits
- Accurately process cash, credit, and meal card transactions at the cashier station
- Assist with basic food handling, including serving meals and replenishing food stations as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and dining space
- Support menu planning efforts by communicating customer preferences and feedback to the culinary team
- Follow all food safety protocols during food handling and serving activities
- Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and meal requests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or cafeteria environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and basic kitchen operations
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or supplies
- Experience with dietary aide duties or dietary department operations is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services enhances your fit for this role
