Working under the direction of the Senior Model Shop Manager and Animation Supervisor, you’ll help care for and maintain our amazing LEGO models, props and facilities throughout the Resort, including Miniland.
Your day could include washing and cleaning LEGO models before the park opens, checking animations and interactive elements, helping reset miniature cars and boats, assisting with minor repairs, and making sure everything is working as it should.
During busy days, you may also help the Animation Technicians open Miniland by starting up equipment, testing interactives, resetting boat loops, and charging and launching miniature cars. ️
Once the park is open, you’ll carry out regular inspections throughout Miniland, keeping an eye out for damaged models, malfunctioning animations or anything else that could affect the guest experience. You’ll work alongside our Animation Technicians to carry out resets and repairs and help keep downtime to a minimum.
You’ll also have the opportunity to interact with our guests! Whether you’re answering a question, pointing someone in the right direction, or simply sharing a little LEGO magic, your friendly and helpful approach will help create a memorable experience.
A big part of this role is making sure our models and surroundings look fantastic.
You’ll wash, sweep and mop LEGO models, props, roads, floors, walkways, landscaping and related facilities throughout the Resort and at off-site locations when required. You’ll use cleaning products, detergents, waxes and sanitizing chemicals, as well as specialist equipment such as pneumatic shot-blasting equipment when trained and required.
You’ll also help keep work areas tidy by emptying trash, moving cardboard and materials to the appropriate stations, and sorting LEGO for recycling. ️
Don’t worry — you won’t be expected to know everything on day one. You’ll work as part of the Model Shop team and assist with projects, general model maintenance and other tasks as directed by management.
Carry out minor repairs and general LEGO model maintenance when required.
Keep tools, machines and company equipment clean, safe and in good working order.
Communicate with Model Shop management and fellow team members about issues, supplies and anything that needs attention.
Follow all LEGOLAND employee policies and safe working procedures.
Put safety first — always.
Be ready to jump in and support other maintenance and Model Shop team members when needed.
You don’t need to be a LEGO expert or an experienced model maker to apply. What matters most is that you’re reliable, practical, observant and ready to get stuck in!
Some experience or a background in maintenance, technical work or a related field is required. Experience with or an interest in LEGO, model trains, cars, boats or other vehicles is a bonus — but definitely not essential.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, helpful and comfortable interacting with guests. You’ll need to be able to follow instructions, make sensible decisions, notice the little details and work independently when required.
You should be flexible, adaptable and trustworthy, with a professional and customer-focused attitude.
Basic hand-tool skills are required, and you should have the ability to learn and safely use the tools and equipment needed for the role. Training will be provided for equipment you are not already qualified to use.
A high school diploma, GED or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
This is an active, hands-on role, with plenty of walking and standing around the Resort. You’ll work both indoors and outdoors and may encounter different temperatures, wet or humid conditions and a variety of floor surfaces.
You’ll need sufficient mobility, dexterity, vision and hearing to safely perform the job, communicate with team members and guests, operate equipment and complete required paperwork or computer tasks.
At LEGOLAND Florida Resort, safety is everyone’s responsibility. You’ll be expected to follow all established safety procedures, only use tools and equipment you have been trained to operate, report incidents or hazards to your manager, and help keep yourself, your colleagues and our guests safe.
If you’re looking for a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same, you enjoy working outdoors, love seeing things run smoothly, and would be excited to help keep a LEGO world full of moving, interactive magic in great shape…
We’d love to hear from you! ✨
Come join the team and help us keep the LEGO magic moving at LEGOLAND Florida Resort!
Please note: This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays to support Resort operations. Attendance is a mandatory function of the position. Other duties may be assigned as required.
