Overview
Join our team as a Firewatch Monitor and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of construction sites, industrial facilities, or other high-risk environments. As a Firewatch Monitor, you will be responsible for observing designated areas to prevent fire hazards, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to public safety while working in dynamic and challenging settings. Paid positions are available, and we seek motivated individuals eager to uphold safety standards through vigilant monitoring and proactive communication.
Duties
- Conduct continuous surveillance of assigned areas to identify potential fire hazards and unsafe conditions
- Perform detailed fire safety inspections, including checking fire alarm systems, and Fire extinguishers, emergency exits and all areas outlined in shift notes.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols when called for (on construction sites)
- Maintain clear documentation of inspections, observations, and incidents through detailed reports
- Communicate effectively with management
- Assist in fire prevention efforts by educating personnel on fire codes, regulations, and best practices.

Firewatch Monitors are responsible for helping keep commercial properties safe by performing routine patrols, documenting inspections, and reporting any concerns while fire protection systems are out of service. Training is provided.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
