Commercial Vehicle Mobile Service Technician
Bayshore Truck Center is looking for a skilled and dependable Mobile Service Technician to join our Ford Commercial service team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on customer vehicles at our shop and through our mobile service unit.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has strong mechanical knowledge, and takes pride in delivering reliable, professional service directly to our commercial and fleet customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair services on Ford commercial vehicles, light-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, and fleet vehicles
- Complete mobile service work at customer locations using a company-provided service vehicle
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, battery replacements, fluid services, filters, and other maintenance services
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using proper diagnostic tools and equipment
- Repair or replace components including brakes, belts, hoses, batteries, suspension parts, and other vehicle systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify current or potential repair needs
- Communicate repair findings clearly and professionally with service advisors, managers, and customers when needed
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, parts used, and services completed
- Keep the mobile service vehicle clean, organized, stocked, and ready for daily use
- Follow all company safety procedures, Ford guidelines, and environmental standards
- Work with the service team to prioritize jobs and complete repairs efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous automotive, truck, fleet, or dealership service experience preferred
- Ford experience or certifications are a plus
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance procedures, and repair practices
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile service environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift, bend, stand, and work in various weather conditions when performing mobile service
- Technical school training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
