Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated PRN Caregivers to serve as Resident Aides or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in a person-centered environment. This flexible role will be in an assisted living and memory care setting. You will deliver personalized assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for our residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
- Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents’ health status is maintained and report any concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer’s care with patience and understanding to residents experiencing memory loss or cognitive decline
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties such as laundry and general cleaning tasks
- Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to foster a positive community atmosphere
- Utilize skills in behavior management to de-escalate challenging situations compassionately
- Support residents’ participation in recreational activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in senior care environments such as assisted living facilities or nursing homes preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and memory care strategies highly desirable
- Experience with vital signs measurement or willing to train on these skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care in a respectful manner
- Prior caregiving roles involving group home or personal care home settings are beneficial
