Inter-Rail Transport is contracted through the railroads to load and unload vehicles from railcars. We have over twenty facilities located across the US. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team! . The positions are highly mental and extremely physical! The work is fast paced. As a team member you receive complete training on how to safely handle new vehicles. Unloaders are trained to inspect, unload, and bay vehicles. You will be eligible for benefits after 60 days (medical, dental, vision). Additionally, 401K, profit sharing, and vacation are available after 1 year.
Starting Pay $18 Employees are eligible for an increase yearly. Opportunity is in Miami, FL. Full & Part Time positions available.
We unload new vehicles from railcars. The job requires you to climb ladders to multiple heights to gain entry to train cars. It includes lifting objects and driving heavy equipment (unloading ramps). You must be bent over in confined spaces at times. It is HIGHLY physical. All training is provided.
Job Info
· Must be able to pass a 7-year background check
· Pass drug screens (pre-employment and monthly random)
· Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record w/valid license
· No alcohol related violations in the past 3 years
· Work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours
Job Requirements:
· Wear required uniform.
· Able to climb ladders on railcars to a height of 16 feet. Be able to gain entry to the railcars by means of the railcar ladder.
· Able to remove bridge plates between railcars at heights of 16 feet.
· Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
· Open and close end doors of railcars.
· Physically able to work on your knees while removing tie down devices.
· Able to work in close quarters.
· Safely drive a vehicle off a ramp with varying degree of elevation.
· Safely drive a vehicle off a railcar with limited clearances.
· Work in all weather conditions. Heat, cold, ice, snow, rain, etc.
· Available to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
· Available to work irregular hours.
