Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings. As an LVN, you will provide essential nursing services, support patients in their daily activities, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Provide care for patients with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management for optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or home care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with acute pain management, geriatrics, pediatrics, or emergency medicine is a plus.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, and vital signs monitoring.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while providing compassionate care to patients.
