About Us
Primrose School of Castle Hills is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Position Overview
The Pre-Kindergarten / Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for planning and leading age-appropriate lessons, managing the classroom, supporting student development, and building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, creative, and passionate about early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities
- Create a warm, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development
- Teach foundational skills in literacy, math, science, social studies, and motor development
- Monitor student progress and communicate with families as needed
- Maintain classroom routines, behavior expectations, and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, and school leadership
- Follow school policies, licensing requirements, and curriculum guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events
Qualifications
- Must have bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Previous experience working with young children preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, dependable, and nurturing personality
- Ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Pre-K or Kindergarten curriculum
- Ability to work well with families and staff
- Creativity in lesson planning and classroom activities
- Strong organizational skills
- Passion for helping young children learn and grow
Compensation
