Superior Auto is one of the Midwest's largest privately held automotive retailers, operating 71 locations across Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky and growing. We are seeking an experienced compliance executive to serve as our Chief Compliance Officer.
Reporting directly to the CEO or CFO—and serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team—this individual will provide strategic leadership over the Company's regulatory, compliance, and risk management functions. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing consumer finance, automotive lending, collections, asset recovery, privacy, and employment practices.

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the Company's Compliance Management System (CMS) and enterprise compliance strategy across operations in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky.

Serve as primary liaison with various regulatory authorities and outside counsel.

Manage regulatory examinations, audits, investigations, and enforcement matters.

Advise executive leadership and the Board of Directors regarding regulatory, compliance, and enterprise risk issues.

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and departmental leaders, providing guidance on regulatory compliance, operational challenges, risk management, investigations, and other complex compliance and business issues.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of compliance, regulatory, or risk leadership experience.

Experience within consumer finance, automotive finance, banking, lending, collections, or other regulated financial services.

Strong knowledge of federal regulations, including UDAAP, FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, ECOA, GLBA, and related consumer finance laws.

Experience managing regulatory examinations and advising executive leadership and boards.
