Concrete Mixer Driver
Responsibilities:
The Ready Mix Truck Driver primary responsibilities include transporting concrete to jobsites, working with customers to ensure a top notch delivery, and provide excellent customer service. Will be expected to maintain current knowledge of ready mix concrete techniques and procedures, as well as view delivery sites for safety and quality control related items.
Summary:
The Ready Mix Truck Driver operates a concrete delivery truck to various jobsites as directed by dispatch. Deliveries are made to the customer, in accordance to the time and placement discussed. The driver performs daily inspections of vehicle in the form of pre and post trip logs and must possess positive customer service skills.
Job Duties:
Safety
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents and near misses occurring on the job site to your supervisor.
- Report all safety and health hazards to supervisors and take necessary actions to establish an immediate temporary control of the hazard until permanent control can be established.
- Maintain and utilize all PPE provided.
- Attend and participate in all required safety training and meetings.
- Learn and comply with all safety rules, policies and regulations applicable to your work.
- Work safely in a manner as to ensure your safety as well as the safety of those around you.
- Follow all safety rules.
Truck Driving
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections every day and report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles.
- Drive ready mix truck from plant after loading to customer’s locations.
- Inspect each load for slump and report any discrepancies to Dispatcher.
- Read all information provided on delivery ticket and communicate with Dispatcher if any questions.
- Be safe and follow speed limits and no cell phone usage while driving.
- Keep ready mix truck clean and free from heavy concrete build-up and wash the mixing drum to prevent hardened concrete build-up.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.57 - $22.67 per hour
