SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing support for employee relations policies, procedures, and programs for a multi-shift, union-represented food production organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing assistance in the interpretation of policies and procedures for employees and managers, managing and reporting on employee absences, Job Change processing, and managing bid movement. This role will also generate reports for No Call No Shows, Attendance Corrective Actions, Probationary Reviews, and Bid Movement Documents and will manage the process to completion each week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide daily support to the Sr. HR Business Partners, including preparation of various business reports and materials requiring a high level of confidentiality.
- Assists in enforcing employment-related policies and procedures, labor contracts, safety, and environmental requirements. Ensures proper file management and administration.
- Develops and maintains a collaborative relationship with employees and management while providing counsel to include progressive discipline.
- Offer workforce development and management direction on policy interpretation. Partners with varying levels of plant management in the resolution of workforce-related disciplinary and coaching opportunities.
- Development and maintenance of specific HR-related reports. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Assist in coordinating and translating necessary written communications to the workforce. In addition, provide verbal translation for Spanish speakers for recruitment interviews/physicals and general investigations as needed.
- Provides problem resolution to complaints/grievances received by employees and partner with management for effective resolution of the issue.
- Performs accurate data entry into the ADP system and other related HR technologies. Generates reports from HR technologies.
- Continually improves knowledge base in the legal and human resources disciplines.

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED in related discipline (Human Resources Management., General Business). Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Demonstrated ability to maintain organization, flexibility, and effective multi-tasking within a fast-paced work environment.
Capable of collaborating with personnel at all levels of the organization and managing upward with professionalism and effectiveness.
Comprehensive understanding of Human Resources functions, policies, and requirements.
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professional judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Exhibits professionalism, respect, and approachability while fostering strong working relationships and cultivating a positive organizational culture.
KNOWLEDGE:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and prefer experience with HRIS Systems (i.e., ADP, SAP, People Soft/Oracle). Must be a detail-oriented and effective performer who manages time well and processes quickly. Strong analytical skills. Must be self-motivated, committed to performing quality work, and able to work within a team environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language, such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to build reports and write general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, and candidates. Prefer the ability to communicate fluently and write effectively in English and Spanish.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the skill set to effectively and clearly communicate with others within and outside of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations. Demonstrated ability to understand basic statistics for process control.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
