American Traveler is hiring a Mobile MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment.

Outpatient clinic setting in the MRI department

Mobile MRI Tech role with potential floating between two outpatient locations
-
Performs general MRI examinations including implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI
-
Siemens MRI equipment; Sectra PACS experience preferred
-
Charting in Epic; Epic experience preferred

Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM), with alternate schedule options of 4x10s (10:30 AM–9:00 PM) or 3x12s (8:30 AM–9:00 PM)

Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; total weekly hours remain at 40

No on-call requirement

Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

Current BLS (AHA only) required

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required

State license required if applicable

Radiation badge required and must be provided by the candidate's agency

Proficiency in general MRI exams including implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI

Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized

Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to unit needs

Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed before the assignment begins

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response roles; peak activity months are August and September
