Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Monroeville, PA
Schedule: Full Time | 4 Ten Hour Shifts | Varying Start Times; typically between 7:30am & 10:00am | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Compensation: $30/hr, Depending On Experience and Credentials | Applicable Shift Differentials + $4/hr for hours worked between 7pm & 7am, Weekend Differentials + $2.50/hr - Differentials Do Not Stack

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will:

Daily use of Radiology equipment such as Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Fluoroscopy.

Performs Ultrasounds, CT, and MRI scans with proper technical factors.

In partnership with Veterinary Technicians, assists in positioning of patients to ensure appropriate images are captured.

Trains staff to form standard expectations with all patient imaging.

Works independently or under the guidance of other sonographers to modify scan techniques for optimal imaging quality.

Troubleshoots imaging quality issues while performing Ultrasounds, CTs, and MRIs.

Performs routine CT and MRI quality assurance and reports any concerns in a timely manner.

Maintains a clean and safe environment, while adhering to appropriate restricted access areas.

Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
1 year ultrasound experience with nontraditional and adaptive scanning preferred.
Veterinary experience preferred but not required.
Able to interact and communicate professionally between multiple departments.
Able to interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets mission statement.
Remain calm and efficient in a high stress environment.
