Up to 29 hours a week. This position is seasonal.
Position Summary:
Complete minor home repair tasks assigned by the Director of Social Services in a safe and professional manner.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic home observations during visits, noting environmental conditions relevant to the repair.
- Collect required client and property‑owner signatures before beginning work.
- Follow written instructions, program guidelines, and safety procedures for all assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area inside the client’s home.
- Report concerns immediately, including unsafe conditions or repairs requiring a licensed professional.
- Communicate promptly with the Director of Social Services regarding delays, changes, or issues encountered during a job.
- Submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain professional conduct, appropriate boundaries, and client confidentiality at all times.
- Additional duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of minor home repair tasks and safe work practices.
- Ability to work respectfully with older adults in varied home environments.
- Professional, courteous, and dependable work habits.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete documentation accurately.
- Reliable transportation and a good driving record.
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools necessary to complete assigned repair tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to drive to client homes to complete assigned repairs.
- Ability to work in homes that may be cluttered, deteriorated, or in poverty‑like conditions.
- Ability to navigate tight or cluttered spaces safely.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients and staff.
Pay: $12.00 per hour
