Payroll Specialist
- Location: Southeast Denver
- Compensation: $30–34/hour
- Schedule: Hybrid | Tuesday–Thursday in Office | Monday & Friday Remote

A stable and growing organization is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to its Denver-based team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid payroll foundation who is looking to continue developing their skills in a collaborative environment. The team is happy to train the right individual and is seeking someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to grow.
This position is expected to begin as a 6–8 week contract-to-hire assignment with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process payroll for employees across multiple states on weekly and biweekly schedules
- Review payroll information to ensure accuracy before processing
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, deductions, and garnishments
- Research and resolve payroll questions from employees and management
- Assist with payroll balancing, reporting, and audit requests
- Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll information remains accurate
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience supporting multi-state payroll
- Understanding of payroll taxes and compliance requirements
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus, but not required
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
