KLD Transport LLC is seeking a dependable Non‑CDL Box Truck Driver (1099 independent contractor) to operate a 26 ft box truck for scheduled pickups and deliveries. You will be responsible for safely operating the vehicle, loading and unloading freight with a pallet jack, and providing excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a non‑CDL box truck for local and/or regional deliveries.
- Load and unload freight; use pallet jacks or hand trucks when needed.
- Secure all cargo to prevent damage in transit.
- Follow planned routes and schedules while maintaining on‑time delivery performance.
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report any issues.
- Keep the truck clean and organized (both cab and box).
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork or app-based documentation (POD, logs, etc.).
- Communicate with dispatch/office about delays, issues, or route changes.
- Provide professional, courteous service at all pickup and delivery locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license (CDL not required).
- Valid DOT medical card
- Driving record that meets insurance and company standards.
- Previous box truck or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions and frequently getting in/out of the truck.
- Reliable transportation to and from the truck or dispatch location.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic smartphone/app skills for navigation and delivery documentation.
- Must be eligible to work as a 1099 independent contractor.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $500.00 - $1,250.00 per week
