Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. In this role you will carry out all professional services as consistently, safely and timely as possible while ensuring maximum satisfaction of all those individuals you interact with. To consistently pursue knowledge as it relates to the profession of massage and the Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary brand.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client needs
- Ensure a clean, relaxing environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Provide excellent client service by listening attentively and customizing sessions for optimal results
- Conduct client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual conditions and preferences
- Be aware of potential precautions and contra-indications and avoid massage if necessary for the health of the client
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, including patient responses and progress notes
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing wellness strategies
- Clean work areas when finished with treatments and prepare for next guest and staff member
- Reset Table with appropriate coverings and linens & carry dirty linens to laundry area
- Refill and clean oil/lotion bottles
- Inform manager of unsafe equipment, practices or guest reactions
- Uphold a clean and professional appearance and hygiene
- Promote sales of treatments and home care products
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings
- Perform other duties requested by managers as needed
Requirements
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Knowledge of occupational health principles to promote safe practices for both clients and staff
- Prior experience in med spa or similar wellness settings is highly desirable
- Strong client service skills with a focus on empathy and active listening
- Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor
- Digitally literate with proficiency in client scheduling, email, data entry as needed
- Must be willing to work weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed.
- On-shift/available to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week.
- Must be qualified to perform a minimum of 3 of the specialty modalities offered at Osmosis.
Education
- Massage Therapy Certification from state approved massage school
- CAMCT certification or equivalent (ie. NCBTMB certification)
- Pursue trainings to stay current with the field updating techniques

Pay: From $16.90 per hour
