The Role (What You'll Own)
As an HVAC Service Technician, you are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems while delivering a world-class customer experience.
You will be the face of Sierra in the customer's home and play a critical role in building trust, solving problems, and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Execution
- Diagnose residential HVAC equipment accurately and efficiently
- Perform repairs on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system tune-ups
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control issues
- Complete detailed system evaluations and inspections
- Recommend repairs, upgrades, and system improvements when appropriate
- Maintain strong technical knowledge through ongoing training
Customer Experience
- Build strong rapport with homeowners
- Clearly explain findings, repairs, and recommendations
- Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
- Deliver a professional, 5-star customer experience
- Represent Sierra's values and reputation in every home
Performance & Accountability

- Complete paperwork accurately and timely in ServiceTitan

What We're Looking ForRequirements
- 21+ years old
- Valid Driver's License with insurable driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and MVR
- Minimum 2+ years HVAC experience preferred
- EPA Certification required or obtainable
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and ServiceTitan
- Ability to work overtime and peak-season schedules when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Residential HVAC Service Experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- NATE Certification (Preferred)
- ServiceTitan Experience
- Sales and communication training experience
- Strong understanding of airflow, refrigeration, and electrical diagnostics
