Duties
- Efficiently pick customer orders using RF scanners and manual methods, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Pack items securely, utilizing appropriate materials handling techniques to prevent damage during transit
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and crane systems safely and effectively
- Load and unload shipments with proper lifting techniques, adhering to OSHA safety protocols and heavy lifting guidelines
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inventory counts and updating records in warehouse management systems
- Maintain organized storage areas, perform inventory management tasks, and conduct regular stock checks
- Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper manual handling practices and the use of material handling equipment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred
- Familiarity with order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management systems
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, and pallet jacks (certification preferred)
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safety protocol adherence in a warehouse environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to materials handling and order accuracy
- Warehouse supervisor experience or exposure to warehouse operations is a plus
