A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Manager, Consolidations. The ideal candidate will have intercompany and consolidations experience, CPA credentials with experience in a large multi-entity manufacturing environment, and leadership experience managing accounting teams.
The Senior Manager, Consolidations role is a hybrid position. This is a direct hire position.
Senior Manager, Consolidations Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process across multiple legal entities.
- Oversee intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliations, eliminations, and resolution of intercompany differences.
- Ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Review consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and reporting packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and business leaders to ensure consistent financial reporting across all entities.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities and drive improvements to the close process.
- Develop, document, and improve consolidation procedures and accounting processes.
- Assist with external audits by preparing supporting schedules and responding to audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support the enhancement of financial reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process improvements and system enhancements.
- Participate in special projects related to accounting, financial reporting, and organizational growth.
Senior Manager, Consolidations Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant consolidations and intercompany accounting experience.
- Experience working in a large, multi-entity manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of financial consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and month-end close processes.
- Prior leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation software.
- Experience designing or improving accounting processes and internal controls is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and business units.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
