Job Description: The School District of Baraboo is seeking applicants for a Bilingual Resource Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximate start date is August 24th, 2026. The regular schedule will be 34.25 hours per week; 7:30am - 3:15pm M, T, TH & F and 7:30am - 1:15pm on Wednesdays. This position is designed to be flexible to provide services to students K-12 depending on identified student needs, and will support multiple buildings. Starting minimum compensation is $19.50/hour with benefits.
Qualifications: Candidates should have an ability to work with grades K-12 students, excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish, and the capacity to work well with others. Demonstrates flexibility to work district-wide and changes throughout the year based on the student population and needs of various buildings. Candidates should also be able to facilitate communication between families and the school through multiple means (phone calls, texts, emails, in person communication).
Hiring Requirement: The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) requires all instructional paraprofessionals in the district to meet Title I hiring requirements. To meet Title I hiring requirements you must have completed at least two years of higher education which is equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited higher education institution; or hold an associate degree (or higher); or be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment (e.g. Master Teacher Assessment), knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
