JOB TITLE: Finishing Operator
DEPARTMENT: Extrusion
REPORTS TO: Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position will be responsible for all slitting operations of product, identification on finishing requirements, set up of finishing equipment, packaging of completed product, and in-process inspection of product during the slitting operation. During times when slitting operations are limited, position will be to aid and assist production with the following roles but not limited to stacking – (see 4.18.I01), compounding (4.18.I02), Die Set-up (4.18.I67) if appropriately trained in these operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Effectively manage slitting operations.
· Set up equipment for slitting and based on documented or written specifications.
· Prepare finished laminated product and deliver to the slitter per documented or written specifications when required.
· Package all finished l slit material using packaging equipment as identified by documented shipping and or packaging specifications.
· Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate fashion as required by Bixby quality requirements.
· Maintain and clean and safe work environment.
· Assist production lines in other capacity when required or directed by supervisor.
· Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures
· Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCY:
· Demonstrated math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) plus decimals, fractions, and percentages.
· Basic computer skills
· Written and verbal communication skills in English
· Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
· Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
· Self-motivated
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.72 per hour
Expected hours: 41.25 per week
