We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual (Spanish)Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position requires working closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting, particularly in areas such as geriatrics and inpatient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting patient needs, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all patients.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed, adhering to established protocols.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures and assist with imaging as required.
- Support the care of patients in specialized units such as the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Level II trauma center.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in geriatrics, inpatient care, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical documentation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, such as a Level I Trauma Center.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with patients and families.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing patient flow.
