Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients with precision and consistency.
- Follow established recipes and menu plans to create a variety of pizza styles that meet quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures throughout the food preparation process.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors or toppings based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times to uphold health regulations.
- Support high-volume production during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment, especially with pizza or similar dishes.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Experience with recipe adherence, meal preparation, and food industry standards for quality control.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Background in culinary arts or fine dining experience is a plus, demonstrating advanced cooking techniques such as braising or poaching.
- Familiarity with dietary department requirements and menu planning for diverse dietary needs is advantageous.
