Role Overview
As a Server at SUGO, you are a gracious host and a storyteller. You do not just take orders; you guide guests through an intentionally crafted experience. Whether highlighting our handmade pastas , explaining our signature cocktail tube delivery , or helping a family navigate a casual weeknight dinner , your goal is to make guests feel relaxed, included, and genuinely looked after. We focus on natural, experience-driven engagement that genuinely enhances the guest's evening.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide guests through the menu with warm, descriptive, and confident product knowledge.
- Engage authentically with diverse tables, from intimate couple dates to multi-generational family gatherings.
- Upsell naturally by introducing signature experiences, shared plates, and curated beverage pairings to maximize the table experience.
- Seamlessly manage pacing to ensure service feels calm, attentive, and never rushed.
- Utilize Toast POS efficiently to process orders and handle guest payments accurately.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a polished, high-volume, or scratch-casual dining environment.
- Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of basic liquor, beer, and wine.
- Technical Skills: Prior experience with Toast POS is highly beneficial.
- Physical Ability: Our restaurant features a beautiful two-story layout. You must be able to constantly walk up and down stairs and safely deliver food and drinks upstairs using trays.
Pay: $2.13 per hour
