Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns
- Lead tax and accounting engagements from planning through completion
- Perform tax research, projections, compliance, consulting, and financial statement preparation
- Manage tax notices and audits involving various jurisdictions
- Supervise, train, and mentor less-experienced tax professionals
- Provide trusted guidance to clients while developing strong professional relationships
- Manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and competing priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent designation
- At least 7 years of recent public accounting tax experience with progressively increasing responsibility
- Strong knowledge of tax law and experience conducting tax research
- Experience independently handling tax notices and audits
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and client-service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and professional tax software; CCH experience is a plus
Additional Schedule Information
During peak tax season, the position requires a minimum of approximately 55 hours per week from February through April 15. Additional overtime may also be required from September through October 15.
