Duties
- Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and refrigeration equipment, following detailed schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on various mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical system diagnostics to identify faults
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and building automation systems to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC equipment, including refrigerant lines and condensate drainage systems
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to assemble or repair HVAC components
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance tips, and addressing client questions professionally
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and installation
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as appliance repair or property maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, boilers, and electrical diagnostics necessary for troubleshooting complex issues
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicle safely at all times
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in welding or boiler operation are a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments under varying conditions

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
