R.U.F.F. Salon is expanding, and we are looking for a Junior Groomer who wants to sharpen their skills and grow a loyal clientele in a supportive, independent environment.
If you are looking to transition into full-time styling without the stress of a high-pressure corporate assembly line, this is the perfect fit. You will work alongside an experienced Lead Groomer and our salon owner, giving you a collaborative space to perfect your scissoring, troubleshoot difficult coats, and build your confidence at a realistic pace.
The Books & Schedule (Salon & Mobile Options):
As a new addition to the team, you will be building your own book of clients. We focus on quality over quantity, so we will be pacing your incoming schedule steadily to ensure you can focus on safety and precision.
We offer both salon-based and mobile grooming tracks for the right person. Please note that our mobile unit is a full-sized grooming bus rather than a van, so candidates interested in the mobile option must be confident drivers and will be thoroughly vetted before hitting the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safe full-body haircuts, breed profiles, and sanitary trims.
- Evaluate pet skin and coat health during the intake process.
- Coordinate with salon bathers to ensure your dogs are correctly washed and dried for styling.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized workstation.
- Drive and operate the mobile grooming bus safely (if choosing the mobile track).
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 6 months of hands-on experience clipping and scissoring in a professional shop.
- A developing stylist capable of clean finish work.
- An adaptable team player who communicates well with clients and coworkers.
- A professional who is excited to grow alongside an evolving business.
Compensation & Benefits:
