Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including residential homes, assisted living facilities, and community-based environments. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts and patient transfer devices
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents or observations
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, dementia care, or memory care
- Knowledge of home health practices, hospice care, geriatrics, and long-term care environments
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, care plans, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
- Ability to perform patient personal care assistance with compassion while respecting client dignity
- Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or other behavioral challenges
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs, personal transportation assistance, and heavy lifting when necessary
- Certifications in CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance, and manual handling are highly valued

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
