Working closely with the Director of Lifestyles, the Lifestyles Experiences Manager serves as a key operational leader within the department and takes ownership of the day-to-day coordination of programs, events, communications, vendors, and resident engagement. This position is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable managing details behind the scenes and being visible, engaging, and hands-on during resident events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day coordination and execution of lifestyle programs, activities, special events, and resident outings.
- Oversee event logistics from planning through execution, including room setup, décor, supplies, audiovisual needs, vendor coordination, and breakdown.
- Develop and maintain the monthly Lifestyle Calendar and Program Guide.
- Manage lifestyle communications across print and digital platforms, including flyers, promotional materials, TV slides, Uniguest/Resident Portal listings, and event updates.
- Develop and distribute detailed function sheets to ensure event needs are effectively communicated across departments.
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with entertainers, musicians, speakers, instructors, vendors, and community partners.
- Confirm program details, schedules, contracts, setup requirements, and logistical needs in advance of events.
- Lead and facilitate resident activities, programs, and special events.
- Build strong relationships with residents and serve as a primary resource for questions, suggestions, and feedback related to lifestyle programming.
- Participate in resident committees and programming discussions and help identify new opportunities based on resident interests.
- Collaborate with Dining, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Transportation, Security, IT, Front Desk, and other departments to ensure successful event execution.
- Manage program supplies and inventory and coordinate purchasing for upcoming programs.
- Assist with departmental expense tracking, receipts, and administrative documentation.
- Support major community events, departmental initiatives, and special projects.
- Assist the Director of Lifestyles with program development, departmental planning, and continuous improvement of the resident experience.
What We’re Looking For

- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Professional, outgoing, and confident working with residents, vendors, and internal leadership.
- Ability to independently manage multiple programs, projects, and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of follow-through and accountability.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing memorable resident experiences.
- Comfortable leading groups, facilitating programs, and problem-solving during live events.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt quickly when plans change.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Canva, Uniguest, event management systems, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Previous experience in event management, hospitality, senior living, recreation, resident engagement, communications, or a related field preferred.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a typical schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. Because resident programming includes evening events, schedule flexibility is an important part of this role. The Lifestyles Experiences Manager should anticipate working approximately one to two evenings per week, occasionally until 10:00 PM, with the work schedule adjusted accordingly. Occasional weekend or holiday availability may also be required for major programs or special events.
The Right Fit
The successful Lifestyles Experiences Manager will be someone who takes ownership, anticipates needs, communicates proactively, and enjoys seeing an experience come together from concept through execution.
If you enjoy creating meaningful experiences, building relationships, managing events, and working in a fast-paced environment where every day can look a little different, we’d love to hear from you.
