The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This role plays a critical part in helping patients regain function, improve communication, and enhance overall quality of life.
Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized plans of care
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and safe swallowing function
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
SNF or long-term care experience preferred
Knowledge of current speech therapy practices and dysphagia management
Experience with Net Health or similar EMR systems preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of New Mexico
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (or Clinical Fellowship candidates welcome, if applicable)
License must be active and in good standing
