Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff
- Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Assist with procedures such as gastric lavage and airway management
- Provide care to patients with special needs, including those with physical or developmental disabilities
- Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic medical record systems such as PCC (pointclickcare)
- Assist with the use and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME)
- Provide support to patients in behavioral health settings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program and certification as a nursing assistant
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner is a plus
