DBox Inc is a leading provider of commercial maintenance and cleaning services, committed to delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong client satisfaction. We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and skilled Porter / Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in the Dallas, Texas area.
This is a dual-role position combining both portering and hands-on maintenance work to support our commercial properties.
Schedule & Structure
- 40 hours per week total
- 20 hours per week Portering duties
- 20 hours per week Maintenance Technician duties
- Full-time position
Key Responsibilities
Porter Duties (20 hrs/week):
- Sweep walkways, entrances, parking lots, and exterior areas
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms
- Remove trash, debris, and hazardous materials from assigned properties
- Empty and replace trash liners and restock supplies as needed
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Maintain a professional and customer-friendly attitude when interacting with tenants and visitors
- Follow all company safety and operational procedures
Maintenance Technician Duties (20 hrs/week):
- Perform routine and basic maintenance tasks including painting, minor plumbing, drywall repair, door/window repairs, and ceiling tile replacement
- Assist with haul-offs, site cleanup, salting sidewalks, and general property upkeep
- Respond to maintenance work orders via smartphone and document job progress
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status and material needs
- Support team members in completing scheduled maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, porter, or maintenance/handyman work preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Must be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and repair work
- Ability to use a smartphone for work orders and updates
- Valid driver’s license preferred (may require travel between sites)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
