Forklift Operator / Maintenance Trainee
We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded Forklift Operator with mechanical aptitude to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to learn refrigeration maintenance and repair while working in a fast-paced cold storage environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve product.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain inventory organization within warehouse storage areas.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues.
- Assist with routine maintenance of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Learn troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and basic repair procedures under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/cold storage environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical work
